Meet the most Gentle Dentist in the Poconos, Dr. Sara Iglio

Where did you grow up?
I was born and raised in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania!

Where did you receive your education and training?
I did my undergrad at Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pennsylvania – where I earned a Bachelors of Science with a minor in Chemistry.  I received my Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, where I graduated seventh in my class!  I believe in providing the most modern, up-to-date care possible; for that reason I take 30 credits of Continuing Education every 2 years.

What is your favorite thing about working at Stroudsburg Family Dental?
I love working closely with my team to provide quality care for our patients.  My dental team is awesome!

What made you choose to pursue a career in dentistry?
I found it was the best way to combine my love for arts and science.  It also allows me to serve my community.

Do you have family in the Stroudsburg area?
Yes – my husband Jeremy, who has been a teacher at Pocono Mountain for 7 years.  I am the proud mother of two adorable twins (Cora and TJ) and two 4-legged fur babies (Bailey and Cody).

What do you like to do when you’re not working?
Scrap booking, reading and photography are my favorite hobbies.

What would you tell people to do if they had only one day to visit Stroudsburg?
Come in the summer and enjoy the beauty of nature that the Poconos have to offer!  There are lots of outdoor activities to enjoy.  The fall foliage is also beautiful!
